Ryan Ten Doeschate මුලින්ම අන්තර්ජාතික ක්‍රිකට් පිටියේ සියලුදෙනා අතර කතාබහට ලක්වුයේ 2011 ලෝක කුසලානයේදී එංගලන්ත කණ්ඩායමට එරෙහිව  රැස්කළ අනර්ඝ ලකුණු 119ත් සමගය. එම ඉනිම එංගලන්ත ක්‍රීඩා ලෝලීන්ට  අමතක නොවන ඉනිමක් බවට පත්විය.  Ryan Ten Doeschate 2011 ලෝක කුසලාන තරඟාවලියේදී නෙදර්ලන්ත කණ්ඩායමේ කැපී පෙනෙන චරිතයක් බවට පත්විය.

Ryan Ten Doeschate නෙදර්ලන්ත කණ්ඩායම වෙනුවෙන් එක්දින ජ්‍යාත්‍යන්තර තරඟ 33කට ක්‍රීඩා කර ඇති අතර තරඟ 20කට වඩා ක්‍රීඩකයන් අතරින් ඉහලම  සාමාන්‍ය වන ඔහුගේ සාමාන්‍ය 67ක් ලෙස සටහන් වේ. ඔහු ලකුණු 1542ක් ලබාගෙන ඇති අතර strike rate 87.70 වැනි ඉහල අගයක පවතී. ඔහු පන්දු යැවීමෙන්ද තම කණ්ඩායම වෙනුවෙන් කඩුලු 55ක් ලබාගෙන ඇති අතර සාමාන්‍ය 24.12ක් වේ.

T20 තරඟ වලදී ද දස්කම් දක්වා ඇති Ten Doeschateගේ අන්තර්ජාතික T20 දිවියේ Strike Rate 128.91ක් ලෙස සටහන් වේ. ඔහු IPL තරඟාවලියේදී Kolkata Knight Riders කණ්ඩායම නියෝජනය කරමින් එහි නිත්‍ය සාමාජිකයෙක් ලෙස ක්‍රීඩා කරයි.

යුරෝපියානු පුරවැසි භාවය ලැබීමෙන් පසු Ten Doeschate එංගලන්ත ප්‍රාන්ත ක්‍රිකට් කණ්ඩායමක් වන Essex වෙනුවෙන් මේ වනවිට ක්‍රීඩා කරයි. ඔහු පළමු පෙළ තරඟාවලි වලදී ලකුණු 6709ක් රැස්කරගෙන ඇති තර සාමාන්‍ය 46.26ක් වේ. එයට ශතක 21ක් ඇතුලත් වේ. පන්දු යැවීමෙන්ද  ඔහු කඩුලු 186ක් දවාගෙන ඇත. සාමාන්‍ය 34.12ක් ලෙස සටහන් වේ.

Ten Doeschate විසින් ICC Associate and Affiliate Player of the Year සම්මානය තුන්වරක් දිනාගන්න ලදී. ඒ 2008, 2010 සහ 2011දීය.

අවාසනාවකට මෙන් නෙදර්ලන්ත කණ්ඩායමට හිමිවන තරඟ සංඛ්‍යාව  අඩු නිසා ඔහුගේ දක්ෂතා බොහොමයක් කරලියට පිවිසුනේ නැත. Ten Doeschate ටෙස්ට් ක්‍රීඩා කරන රටක ඉපදීමට වාසනාවන්ත වුයේ නම් මේ වන විට අන්තර්ජාතික ක්‍රිකට් පිටියේ සිටින අතිදක්ෂ තුන් ඉරියව් ක්‍රීඩකයෙක් බවට පත් වී අවසන් ය.

Ryan Ten Doeschate caught the eyes of international cricket community scoring a magnificent 119 with fluent stroke play in 2011 Cricket World Cup which gave a mini heart attack to English fans. He was the only bright spot in a rather ordinary campaign for the Dutch in 2011 World Cup.

Ten Doeschate who has played 33 ODIs for Netherlands has the highest average (67) for a player who has played more than 20 matches. He has scored 1541 runs with a impressive strike rate of 87.70. 

His bowling also has come in handy for the team picking up 55 wickets at an average of 24.12. He is a very good player in the t20 format of the game with a Strike Rate of 128.91 in T20 internationals.

Ten Doeschate represented Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL and has been a regular member of the side which has a big competition for the 4 spots of international players.

Ten Doeschate was able to play county cricket due to his European Citizenship and has played for Essex ever since. He holds an impressive first class record scoring 6709 at 46.26 with 21 centuries. He also has a decent bowling record picking up 186 wickets at 34.12. Ten Doeschate won the ICC Associate and Affiliate Player of the Year Award thrice in 2008, 2010 and 2011.

Unfortunately the Dutch team doesn't play many matches so his performances go unnoticed. Had he born in a test playing nation he would have made a good all round cricketer.
